6:14 “Can IWnet stop piracy”
The main “security” point is the lacking LAN (beside the unavailibility of ded. files) support. Wich does not shipp any server component within the game wich makes it impossible to start hacking on something to allow to run an illegal server.
The question is more, if it makes sense to produce a MP game without without LAN and ded. support? Wich in my eyes is not.
But at this point, let us take some other game in here wich never saw a Server file in public;
World of Warcraft. Nowdays it has many so called “Private Servers” up accross the world running up stable.
To sum up; such “Protections” give even more interest to hackers, hacking Providers private-dedicate boxes, modify the code and release it as proof of concept and give a even larger community the abillity to tweak the code and make it (illegaly for sure) available.
So the answer to “”Can IWnet stop piracy” is simply: NO, it can not.

Note: I´m not an CoD player at all, but i followed this discussion since it has started, and it has some important points wich regard any PC Gamer playing Multiplayer Games.
